Just imagine if you hadn’t decluttered before this, how much harder it would have been

Many years ago, I bought a set of dishes with 12-place settings. The first time I used the matching mugs for guests I realized that as people circulated, they left their mugs on any flat surface. Within a half hour, no one knew whose was whose. The next day, I gave all but two to charity.

It's surprising how much you got rid of considering it was declutered not to long ago. Good job!

I love seeing decluttering videos so close together, because that tells me I need to declutter a space, then visit again, and again, and again, and again, and just for good measure, AGAIN.

Wow! Moving really makes a difference! I know you've decluttered the kitchen before and I'm shocked how much you found to go! 😮 We should ALL pretend we're moving when decluttering 😂

Consider letting go of the backup bowls and mugs. Your guests don't care if they match and it's actually more fun with different mugs

You two are amazing. After one year of constant decluttering I couldn't think of anything else to declutter from my own kitchen. Then I watched your video and hey bingo! Was immediately reminded of the coffee grinder that I "inherited" from a friend in 1995, never used it. And the tile with the horse decor that I got from my grandpa (who passed away in 1974). No idea why I was so blind to those items, for sure I don't need them.

I kinda noticed two things that I had to come to terms with that seem to be going on here. lol.

One was an over preoccupation with “guest serving” items (wound up reducing them and then moving them elsewhere to free up valuable daily use storage space). The thing of always thinking about company too much and not enough thinking of my own daily needs. I found that I usually either don’t have much company that often or I wind up using other things like Solo cups or paper mugs or my daily dishes etc.

Second was saving the “special things” and not using them. I kind of pared them down and started using them bcuz you know. Still being alive to enjoy things I love IS the “special occasion.” 😁

Just a little food for thought. lol. Working through those concepts (mentally) helps me to now greatly simplify all of my future decluttering and organizing efforts.

Even after moving feel you still declutter, when unpacking you find things you actually no longer want or need
