I grew up in the 60s and 70s I hate to think of being a kid without Cox engines. Its a shame todays youth has no hobbies like this. Even now as an adult,I miss ìt. I think America has lost a lot of of these blessing from music to models. so sad

A teenager in our neighborhood would fly the P-40 control line at a local school……and 40-50 kids on bikes (me included) would show up and watch in amazement. That sound was all we had to hear…..and we were pedaling towards it like we missed the ice cream truck. Awesome times….1975.

As a kid in the 60's cox airplanes were a delight and a curse. Cut fingers, crashes and the extacy of spinning in circles watching it fly. 60 years later, 40 some years as a mechanic solving engine issues, it boils back to getting that damn cox tuned to fly.

Cox planes, Estes model rockets, riding our bikes and hanging out all day until dark. Those were the days. So grateful to have grown up in the 70’s. I feel sorry for the kids of today never experiencing these great memories

I am 79 and remember the .049s that I put into planes that I built from kits and later scratch. The Vietnam war ended my grand plans. The memories of the planes are fond.

I grew up near a park. Whenever I heard the distinctive scream of a glowplug engine I would run to the park to watch. Great memories.
