I am 77 years old and I have a suit case full of Radio Shack small electronic parts . Sometimes I poor out the parts just to look at all the parts I used to learn to build a circuit. It brings back such good memories.

Sears and Radio Shack catalogs were the best. I used to go through every page and always looked forward to the new catalogs as they came out.

RadioShack was more than a store: it gave an entire generation the confidence to experiment, repair things, and understand technology instead of simply replacing it.

I worked at Radio Shack while going to electronics school, graduated and became a career electronics technician and then retired.  Thanks for the inspiration and memories Radio Shack!

As a retired engineer, I can assure you, I had some of those old radio shack kits. I loved building them.

I recall riding my crappy bmx bike in the rain (Oregon) to our local radio shack as a kid with my crappy radio shack remote control dune buggy in a plastic bag. I asked the guys behind the counter to see if they could figure out why it wasn't working. They not only fixed it, they showed me how, and taught me to fix it myself if it happened again. My brother and I rode our bikes to that radio shack all the time. Great memories!!!

I’m a ham radio operator. Bought a lot of components. At the end I didn’t even recognize the place. Sad to see what happened to them.
