I've never heard of quite a lot of these names! What an eye opener of a video!

actually. the rivers running dry is an indication of how they took Babylon; after the water levels dropped (due to redirecting the rivers), they slipped under the walls; it's curious to hear about the destruction of the statue of Marduk who was a Mesopotamian deity; it was said that the Persians and later the Mongols were successful in their conquests because they allowed the locals to retain their religion as long as they paid tribute

The Thebans did not fight to the death with Leonidas and the 300. When the Persians circumvented the Hot Gates (Thermopolae), Herodotus claims the Thebans surrendered immediately. They were all branded with the Shah en Shah's mark. It is supposed Leonidas kept the Thebans in order to hold that city loyal to the Hellenes. PEACE!!!
