It's just great that you saw this small documentary Joe! Queen guys recording in Musicland studio in Munich with a producer and sound engineer Reinhold Mack. Freddie basically lived in Munich for some years and he became very close to Mack's family. He said that those times he spent with them felt like he had a real family. Many times he went shopping with Mack's wife Ingrid (who can also be seen in a video of his song Living On My Own). Freddie and John babysat Mack's and Ingrid's children. The recording of the Hot Space album (1982) went on and on so Ingrid, who was pregnant with her third child stated, that if the baby was born before the album was completed, all Queen guys can be baby's godfathers. 😂
And it happened, the child was born before the album was done! Freddie and John were both godfathers to Mack's and Ingrid's third boy and they named him John Frederick. Freddie loved him and was spoiling him with gifts. Freddie even wore his Prawn outfit at the boy's birthday party 😅

It’s incredible how precise Freddie was when creating harmonies, every word and syllable landing at the exact right moment. As Brian May once said, Freddie was as if he had an internal metronome.

Love this, written by Roger. You see how much they put into each song, love Freddies humor on this. When I saw them at Wembley they opened with One Vision/ tie your mother down. Whoa!!! Thx Joe and Mikey ❤

You have to watch this with a sense of humor, they are clowning around, take it for what it is.

Like the others here, I have watched this several times. Of course the basic concept of this song was already there because it obviously took more than just this 20 minutes we see here to complete. My only complaint is that this clip isn’t longer. I also wish they had more of these “ making of” clips. Thanks for reacting to this fan favorite.

I've seen this so many times, and yet it's just as fun to watch again. Did you notice that Jim Hutton was in the video too? He was sitting behind Freddie in a denim jacket while Freddie was directing Roger

There's also footage of him coaching May, but that wasn't included in the DVD version.

Love John’s fashion choices throughout this 😂 the Hawaiian shirt, the chunky Nordic sweater, and the oversized tank. He is the best.
