  I was 22 in 1993 when this came out and I think this was the first digital movie in theaters. &nbsp;We had never seen anything as realistic as that first big dinosaur in a movie before. &nbsp;Entire packed theater gasped and was blown away. &nbsp;It was an incredible experience seeing it back in the day.

  The waterfall is in Kauai, Hawaii. I took a helicopter tour to it many years ago. It&apos;s absolutely gorgeous!<br><br>Hammond isn&apos;t Dennis&apos; dad, he was being sarcastic because Hammond was scolding him like a father.

  When we can remember this being released and we feel our age, and even after all this time , the magic of spielberg.that first reaction of the first big dinosaur never gets old.

  People are surprised the Raptors can open doors, but I don&apos;t think they should be, really. I once had a CAT who knew how a door opened. Whenever he wanted to go outside, he would stretch a paw up to the doorknob. He clearly KNEW the doorknob had something to do with getting through the door. Now, of course, I don&apos;t think he had the strength to open it, and even if he did, it&apos;s a round knob that he probably wouldn&apos;t be able to turn with his paws. But the intelligence was there, and if a cat knows that, these creatures that are said to have problem-solving intelligence definitely would too. Also, the Raptors had the strength, AND they were dealing with lever handles on doors that open away from them, requiring no dexterity at all to operate, so it totally makes sense.

  Most of the film scenes in the movie were actually recorded in Hawaiian islands of Oahu and Kauai.
