I used YouTube's blur face feature on this video, but it didn't find any faces! I went through the video, and it looks like the lighting was on my side, because none of the faces show as recognisable, so I'll take that as a win! Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the walk, and my commentary on how the UK has changed me.

That beautiful monologue gave me tears in the end. The UK is not the best country in the world, but it is a good country. We all gripe and moan about the place and our politics is awful like everywhere these days. But sometimes I have to hear this to feel less despair. Jay you are most welcome.

And what a lot of americans also don't know, over 90% of the meat produced in the USA and a lot of other food isn't even allowed to enter Europe because it doesn't meet the minimum health standard required to be counted as food. The crap from the USA can't even be used for pet food here.

I had an appointment at my local hospital this morning to see a consultant ophthalmologist, I arrived at 10.40 am my appointment for 10.45, I was done in 15minutes; it took longer to collect my prescription than the consultation. I have been attending appointments for years the NHS is now addressing the neglect and improving again

I'm grateful to have found you on YouTube. Your videos are comforting, as I struggle with politics and the way social media has become a vehicle for cruelty and lies. I live very safely in East London, unbothered by the need for a stab vest, or by calls to prayer. My Muslim neighbours are very sweet and periodically trim my flowering front hedge, move my wheelie bins, or paint my bay window. I acquired my son and daughter - now in their late thirties - through fostering and then adoption, when they were wild teenagers, and not once did those neighbours complain about the shouting, terrible language and other issues common to many teenage foster children. On the contrary, they used to invite them in and randomly bring round tasty food. As I've been laid up recently, I've started to read some of the lies peddled about London. I've felt compelled to answer sometimes, when I believe posters aren't actually bots, but the hateful responses of some can be very distressing. So I really love your videos. At 77, I still use both metric and imperial measures, but I have gradually learned to use metric for height and weight, simply because the NHS does. I have found it especially pleasing to switch from feet and inches to the metric system, because the bigger metric figure lets me pretend that I'm taller, when in fact my height is gently going down, from age and osteoporosis. As you imply, you get used to metric if you use it and of course it is simple and logical. Anyway, it's great to hear about your qualifications and that you love this country - it's definitely still miles better than we often claim

One other factor I suspect is that the scale of things is more humane.Even the biggest conurbations have parks and traffic free walks ..this I think helps to ease the pace of life.
