You absolutely nailed it on this one. Those Rolling Stones box sets are great but unnecessary for most fans who already have everything even if you don't have all the bounus tracks. I will always download cuts I don't have instead of buying the entire box set. It's pure economics for me. One More Shot is definitely the best cut of the two and Cop's and Robbers is one of my all time favorite tracks of the Stones. I have that same bootleg and bought a cleaner version of it on CD years later. You're spot on with the album cover of GRRR (totally ridiculous) but of all the box sets you displayed, that's the one I would want. Great job again. Let's keep Rolling!

Dancing With Mr. D (Live) from Honk was recorded in Arnhem, Netherlands in 2017, i was at this show (and own the bootleg).

What makes that show special to me is that we were there with three generations, my late father (a dedicated fan since 1973 when he was 15 y.o. and he saw The Stones in The Hague, his 1st show in '76) who hooked me onto The Stones my whole life, my mom, sister and her husband with their two sons and my younger brother.
Magical night for my dad, to have all his kids and grandkids with him and at a show of his Favorite Band.

I think “Doom and Gloom” is their best rocker since “Start Me Up.” The live performance of the former from the 2013 Hyde Park gig is really nice.

I also like “Don’t Stop” and the other two pop rock songs. I appreciate the variety they bring to their catalog. An early ‘00s album in that vein would’ve been great.

In the pantheon of Rolling Stones box sets, Forty Licks and GRRR! get high rankings from me. (I personally have never bought a box set because I’m not a collector and don’t need to have the same song on multiple albums, but I really appreciate seeing everything that goes into the creation of a good box set — content wise and via art-infused presentation. Hence, I am really enjoying how you are spotlighting some of your favorite box sets from your huge collection.) On Forty Licks, the four new tracks are nothing particularly special (IMHO), but they’re still a nice bonus for those who already have all the other box set songs on other albums. (Same goes for the two new tracks, which I think are quite good, on GRRR!). There are so many impressive aspects of GRRR! I especially love the vinyl 45 with four awesome R&B tracks. I’m a sucker for old R & B, and it’s always a treat for me to hear The Stones dive into it — and into standard blues classics by the legendary Delta bluesmen and Chicago bluesmen. I could never get tired of seeing Mick and the boys pull out all the stops on stage when performing Little Red Rooster and Mannish Boy, among similar quintessential songs by the American blues performers who we can all thank for the creation of The Rolling Stones. Fortunately, for all of us Stones fans, the band branched out, far and wide. As great as the R & B and the pure blues songs are, nothing beats the kick-ass, hard-rocking songs (IMHO). I’d rate the beautiful ballads as a very close second. I really like how The Stones shake things up every now and then by making forays into genres such as funk, reggae, country and even psychedelic music. (Yes, I actually love and still listen to Their Satanic Majesties Request.) There’s just about nothing this band can’t do well. Box sets are just one more thing!

I bought 2 of the gigantic GRRR box set on ebay. Obviously, paid more than when it came out. I missed when the box set first came out. I've yet to open either one. I bought the box set since it contained the IBC early recordings which I believe were done in early 1963. Thanks for showing the contents. Like you, I've bought bootleg CDs of their BBC recordings years ago and the sound on them is very good. And yep also bought the official BBC version. Not all the BBC recordings were released since some of the bootleg CDs do have songs not on the official release. I also bought the Brussels Affair bootleg CD several years ago. But also bought the Goat's Head Soup box set which contained the official Brussels concert on CD. I did like they finally released the Leeds concert about 2-3(?) years ago when Sticky Fingers was re-released containing the Leeds concert. I buy the bootleg version several years ago.
Have you ever bought any Springsteen bootleg CDs from his 1978 tour? I bought all the broadcast concerts and now there is an official site where you can buy official live concert CDs. I bought a few and they do sound better than the bootlegs.

I own all versions/formats of Grrr!, yes even the vinyl box set and the Blu-ray Audio, a bit crazy really.
But that to me is part of being a livelong Stonesfan. 😅

From Honk i have the 2CD, 3CD and the standard vinyl edition without the exclusive vinyl live edition, because i didn't like the cheap live compilation.
When you look at Honk and to Jump Back, it's almost the same compilation plus extra tracks, some exceptions and plus Voodoo Lounge tracks onwards. Also a bit cheap by the Stones, but still fun.

Forty Licks is still a wonderfull set, even with the vinyl edition we finally got in 2023.

Always enjoying to see your videos and listen to someone who really owns his info about The Stones.
Keep it going!

While waiting for this video, I have had to watch pimple popping videos 😂🤣 Thanks for the new installment. You know, I don't think I bought the big GRRR box. That makes two I wish I had. This one and the Lofgren box. Last night I saw the Eagles show with symphony members and a choir. The show was great, the audience wasn't. I wish all shows banned cell phones. They are so distracting. I want to wish you and all your viewers a happy Thanksgiving .Also, happy Record Store Day for those going out next Friday.
