Tara embodies all of us by being smitten but also confused and frustrated by Edward

Watching adults watch Twilight for the first time is like watching the Mona Lisa being painted.

I randomly quote “this is the skin of a killer, Bella” and “as if you could outrun me!” On a regular basis, to the confusion of everyone around me

About the glittering: In the books, vampire skin is constantly compared to stones and rocks. There are mentions of Edward's skin being cold as stone, hard as a rock, etc. When the Cullen's are playing baseball and two of them collide it's described as boulders colliding. They also make it a point to let us know vampire skin is impenetrable, only vampire teeth and some other teeth can penetrate it. Putting all those things together and exercising reading comprehension, we get to the fact that the skin of a vampire is as hard as the hardest stone on earth, which is a diamond. And diamonds glitter, hence, vampire skin giltters.

Forbes estimated that Carlisle had a net worth of $34 billion, solely from compound interest accrued over hundreds of years.

It looks like an indie movie because that's what it was in the beginning. It became more popular than people thought it would so they had a much bigger budget for the rest of the series. Of course, they also fired Catherine Hardwicke and hired men to direct the following movies.
