  The scene at the end where Norrington compliments Will’s work on his sword and tells him to take care of Elizabeth is great and really encapsulates his character. He’s actually a pretty good guy.

  Not diluting Depps&apos; performance, but Geoffrey Rush was amazing in this film as well.. &nbsp;he is the personification of Barbosa.

  Norrington is the true model of &nbsp;gentleman, competent, polite, smart, accomplished. a little smug, but admits when he&apos;s beaten, and is not vicious or vindictive to his enemies. and when he realises Elizabeth truly does not feel the same as him, he accepts it and walks away.

  rumor is, Orlando Bloom, during the shooting of the underwater scene became so disoriented with lack of oxygen, he began speaking elvish from LoTR

  This film was released in 2003, and Fellowship of the Rings in 2001. Hard to believe that they made better films 20+yrs ago than they are today!
