  This series is a staple in my grief journey. Although it's been 10 years since my husband died, I still find myself hungry for tidbits that others in grief share about their experiences. I cry a bit during every episode because there is beauty, love, wisdom and heart in everyone's stories. ❤

  Every one of these episodes are so powerful and meaningful to me. Every single person who shares themselves with us as well as Anderson’s candid and honest emotions. Our culture needs to open and share the experiences around profound loss. Cameron was so eloquent and insightful in this conversation. I lost my son to cancer and I still live in the house where we lost him 26 years later. Music is one of my closest connections to him and it’s “happy painful” as Cameron said as well as carrying sacred wound as Patti Smith said.

  I&apos;ve only watched a few of these but I&apos;m always grateful when I do. I love how Cameron was gentle with you in connecting your shard stories of grief. I remember thinking that Stephen Colbert was also gentle and protective of you and your grief. In other words, the ability to share personally, together, helps it become universal.<br><br>My boyfriend&apos;s mom took her own life when he was 19. We married, had 3 kids; he never fully dealt with it. I felt like I was always trying to process the grief for him since he was unable to do so. Cameron&apos;s description of no one talking about his sister resonated with my now ex husbands story of grief. Tonight, I am reminded that I still carry it.

  Anderson Cooper---we need more dialogue like this. &nbsp;Thank you for bringing to the forefront the issue of death. &nbsp;Stuffing our feelings only make for actions something that should not be discussed. &nbsp;There is nothing wrong with the discussion of death. &nbsp;Confronting life is the only way. &nbsp;Thank you Anderson Cooper.

  “The searching”……when my younger brother died, I wanted him back. He played guitar, so I went on a hunt for the music he loved. I listened to so many videos of his favorite guitar player. It made me feel closer to him and his spirit. It brought music back into my life. As many on your podcast have said, be open, welcome and listen to your loved ones voice. Talk to them. Imagine what they would say back. They are only a thin wall away. 🎸

  Listening to this interview, I am reminded of a song that my sister loved, Jim Croce’s “Time in a Bottle.” &nbsp;I don’t know of she thought of it in the months before she passed away, but I have a memory of it playing in our family room when I was a child. &nbsp;I am going to deliberately use the words the way I remember them rather than trying to see if they are right, “If I could save time in a bottle, I would save every day until eternity passes away just to spend them with you.” &nbsp;We don’t get any of the days back, but if we’re lucky, we get to keep enough memories that we get to keep their spirits.
