  The crazy thing is the original promised neverland story after they escaped the orphanage was actually good and well written. Dunno why the anime creators thought “hey, let’s not do anything that actually happens after they escaped but create our own version.” Like seriously, what were they thinking.

  To be clear, most of the people who worked on OPM S1 weren’t even Madhouse animators. Season 1 looked so good due to a &quot;dream team&quot; of top-tier freelance animators, brought together by director Shingo Natsume. It was a literal once in a blue moon event. Natsume has expressed desires to continue the anime, but by the time season 2 was greenlit, he had already moved on to work on other anime.

  season 2 of The Promised Neverland still haunts me in my sleep. First season was damn perfect i was redommending it to everyone and after 2s came out it&apos;s rough to admit to someone if it is one of my favourite shows because i don&apos;t have the power to stop someone to not watch the 2nd season and be traumatized like me

  Dude that first season of promised never land was just something entirely different… genuinely a modern classic. And the animation quality, especially during key emotional moments like the first big reveal at the end of episode one, was just so perfect. Gives me chills watching it back and since I didn’t know spoilers, Norman getting shipped off at the end of season one literally had me in tears 😭😭
