These are the two sweetest guys with the best bromance, and they go through absolute hell on the show. Its brutal and absolutely worth a watch. The short version as many probably already said is these two kids get caught up in going against essentially organised crime mob who are milking people of their entire life savings and businesses, the main characters mum is one of those being extorted for more than everything they have. They get a bit of help from some others but yeah this show can go from hilarious buddy show to extreme levels of violence in the same episode (way more violent than in those clips).

This was filmed during covid. That's why the stands are empty.

You're right about the mafia stuff they're fighting goons from loan sharks that prey on innocent people in debt. You'll also find that the show takes a lot of inspiration from Hajime no Ippo so I think you'll really enjoy watching the series as a whole as it has many relatable aspects of boxing and in the second season they show what happens when you put a boxer against different martial arts. I really enjoy both shows and have been following the hajime no ippo reactions since the first episode it'd be fire to see you react to bloodhounds as well.

5:43 This is actually the Main Card however, the show takes place during the Covid Era, hence the lack of people.

WTF you guys didnt even show the epic season 2 fights with Baek Jeong aka Rain from ninja assassin? those fights sold the series for me ridiculous choreography and actual real martial artists. This guy needs to watch the full series.

Bloodhounds follows *Kim Gun‑woo* (MC), a kind and disciplined rookie boxer, and *Hong Woo‑jin* (Side character), a former Marine. During the COVID‑19 financial crisis, Gun‑woo’s mother is tricked into a predatory loan by *Smile Capital**, a violent loan‑shark group led by **Kim Myeong‑gil* (main villian). When she can’t meet the impossible repayment terms which was like 15% interest (she was naive, and it was written in fine ink so she couldn't spot it well enough) , Smile Capital destroys her café and threatens her life. Gun‑woo tries to defend her but quickly realizes he’s up against a criminal empire. (First fight scene against the 10 guys)

Gun‑woo and Woo‑jin team up and end up working with **Mr. Choi Tae‑ho**, a legendary former loan shark who now lends money ethically and protects people from exploitation. Mr. Choi has a long, bitter history with Myeong‑gil, who betrayed him years ago and built his empire on cruelty and fear.

Together with Mr. Choi’s skilled granddaughter **Hyeon‑ju**, the two boxers begin dismantling Smile Capital piece by piece. (Third fight scene was where they thought they got a lead but it was a trap) They rescue victims, expose illegal operations, and survive multiple ambushes. As the conflict escalates, Myeong‑gil becomes desperate and violent, forcing the group into a final showdown.

In the end, Gun‑woo and Woo‑jin fight their way through Myeong‑gil’s enforcers, protect the people he targeted, and help bring down his entire loan‑shark network. The story blends intense action with themes of loyalty, justice, and protecting vulnerable people during hard economic times.
