Don’t know if someone’s mentioned it, but this fight is a reference to Mike Tyson (Peekaboo) vs Razor Ruddock (his “Smash” punch)

Quick Explaination on the fan named Devastating Smash. In the Manga it is closer to Sendo mixing a Gazelle punch with a smash. He crouched down threw his whole body into it.

Oh man, i feel like you should just make a 2 hr video on these big fights even if there are multiple episodes because damn. I watched this anime already a few times and still got me all excited, only to be caught by the ending like this one did. Greetings from Argentina

Sendo has been aura farming before the word aura farming is being used. 😂 Cant wait to see your reaction on the next episode!

Oh yeah 100% legit (exaggerated but legit) and fun to watch. Mike Tyson's Peek-a-boo style vs Razor Ruddock's brawling style and Smash Punch. Ippo vs Sendo (both matches) is one of the best fights you'll ever see in anime

Legendary anime. One of my favorites. There aren't enough reactors for this legendary anime, so thank you. 🙏

Now imagine having to wait for a week to watch the next episode, this is why Ippo is the GOAT sports anime.....it has everything including accuracy about the life of being a boxer

That weird skateboard like smash is exclusively from the anime and this fight alone, both in the manga and in later episodes where sendo fights he doesnt curve near as much (as it should be), I'd assume it was made this way to make it look more cool and flashy but the fact that its not done later makes me suppose it didnt work

I have no need to do it, now that im not participating in martial arts tournaments anymore, and I usually only go to local schools as a guest instructor (small martial arts community, many of the instructors around here know each other and I've met a lot of people in20 years) however, I still shadow box at least once per day for just a few minutes. Helps me stay limber, keeps my hand speed up, and is honestly just fun. I definitely miss sparring and competing
