  as a die hard fan of the books i wanna share some details they cut out of the movie that add to the overwhelming sh1ttyness of the capitol 1) they keep the arenas open after the games to act as vacation spots for the capitol citizens, they can go and rewatch and tour the arena and even reenact the games and 2) &nbsp;the mutts in the books were made using the genetic material of the fallen tributes, they were described as werewolf like and had hair and eyes matching their respective tribute

  Cato was basically saying that he understood now that the games were pointless and that he would be paraded around. Basically after the games even if he won, he was always gonna be a pawn to the capitols games.

  People always say the mockingjay pin is unlucky… but if you think about it, when Prim had it, her sister protected her and she was safe. Katniss had it, and she also lived.

  The reason she missed the first shot on the bow was because it was metal, shes used to bows that are made of wood, so its even more impressive that she adjusted on the second try and get a bullseye.

  Saying the dogs have a human face is actually so real cause in the books, the dogs have the eyes of every people that died until this point. In order to impact psychologically the survivors. The hunger games are a litteral nightmare.

  If I remember the books correctly, the scale rating they&apos;re given is out of twelve, as there are twelve districts. But giving her an eleven both raised the stakes for the show, sure, but it put a target on her back and shifted her odds to not be in her favour before she was even in the arena. Her defiance was noted from the beginning.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEXrPPBEahM&amp;t=4248">1:10:48</a> y’all might’ve missed it cuz it’s a small detail, but PEETA motioned to/touched cato’s hand to tell katniss to shoot him there. peeta’s a bit outmatched when it comes to certain things but he’s actually a very intelligent character, the movies don’t show it as much as the books do. i wouldn’t be surprised if it was HIS idea to tell the public about his crush on katniss cuz he knew it would garner more interest in the two of them. even tho i think the movies don’t always do his characters justice, i adore josh hutcherson in this role, his casting was perfect!!

  The reason why district 12 only wear plain colors is because colored dyes are expensive for the simple use of dying clothing. It’s something that they’d also have to buy on their black market
