When you love an intentional, designed space, meanwhile your partner never moved beyond the college dormitory aesthetic...

this is such a good video. my husband doesn't super care about a space, so long as it doesn't look overly feminine; whereas I (female) go for somewhere between English and beach cottage. that style can lean very girly, which again my husband doesn't love. so I focus on overlapping preferences: a more minimal space focused on coziness rather than overt femininity (i.e. pink, florals, and other feminine patterns and colors), and colors we both love: blues, greens, and creams/natural wood tones. this still allows me to engage virtually all English/beach cottage decor that I like, including seasonally, while allowing my husband to enjoy the space and not feel like the space is cloying or not for him.

Pleaseee make a video on double ceiling living rooms. Me and my partner are currently debating on whether to have it or not in our new home. I’m mostly worried about curtains in the double ceiling room😅😭
