  I have an older apartment and I really appreciate the old school features. Broom Closet, Linen Closet, Coat Closet, plenty of Built in Cupboard space, pantry.. It&apos;s really such a joy to have a clutter-free space..

  I installed a fold down ironing board in my new home in the utility room. &nbsp;Amazing how much more I’m willing to iron something when I just pull down the board rather than picking up and opening a full ironing board. &nbsp;And no screech!

  I&apos;m from Poland and a vestibule is a very common element. It has a few names but one of them is &quot;wiatrołap&quot; which means &quot;wind catcher&quot;. I can&apos;t imagine walking right into a house! Even small apartments here have at least a hallway separating an entryway from a living area.

  I bought an older home with a laundry room off the kitchen that has cupboards, a work sink, a broom closet, and a kitchen pantry cupboard. &nbsp;It’s not that large, but well set up. &nbsp;I love it. &nbsp;It exits to the sunroom that serves as the entry/mudroom. &nbsp;Very practical.

  I built my house with a very large mud/laundry room and it&apos;s awesome! &nbsp;It has: broom closet, coat closet, bench and hooks, tons of storage cabinets, washer/dryer, desk with scanner and printer, drop zone, charging station, and large island for folding/opening packages/packing. &nbsp;And a hidden door to the master closet!

  The hill I&apos;ll die on is picture rail molding. We have it in our 100-year-old house and it makes it SO easy to hang art and move it around as much as we want without punching holes in the walls or damaging the paint job. Plus, the hanging chains add visual interest. Why did people ever stop installing it?!
