Estas Cajas de Granito Pesan 80 Toneladas y Parecen de Máquina — Cómo las Hicieron de Verdad

1851. Beneath the Saqqara desert in Egypt, French archaeologist Auguste Mariette advances through a tunnel carved into the rock. He has arrived here following the description of a Greek geographer from almost two thousand years ago. And in the niches lining the tunnel are 24 granite boxes, each weighing 80 tons and carved from a single block, brought from a quarry 800 kilometers away. All have been opened and looted. Except for one. Its 30-ton lid fits so perfectly that Mariette has to use gunpowder to open it. And when he reaches inside, he touches a wall polished like a mirror, with precisely 90-degree angles. Made of granite. Crafted 2,500 years ago. In this history and archaeology documentary, we descend into the Serapeum of Saqqara, the underground burial ground of the Apis bulls, the living embodiment of the god Ptah, mummified with pharaonic honors for over a thousand years. We recount what Mariette found inside the only sealed crate (and why this discovery, which disappointed many, is actually the key to everything), how 80-ton blocks were moved across 800 kilometers, and how they were lowered into a tunnel without cranes using a documented method as simple as it is ingenious: sand. And we honestly address the great debate: how did they achieve those perfect corners and that mirror polish without steel or machines? We explain the actual method—copper tubular drills, saws with quartz sand, and the principle by which abrasion with a flat reference produces precision on its own—and we respond one by one to the arguments of the "lost technology" camp: why the crates are larger than a bull, why most were empty, why only 4 out of 24 have inscriptions, and why the "millimeter" tolerance figures circulating are not based on published measurements. The detail that changes everything: the interior is a mirror, but the exterior of many of the boxes is rough. A machine doesn't prioritize. A team of artisans with a god to bury does. No one knows how they were polished, they say. What is known is: they were polished by someone who didn't expect anyone to see them, and they did it perfectly anyway. #Serapeum #Saqqara #Egypt #ApisBull #Archaeology #History #Documentary #AncientEgypt #Granite #SealedEarth SOURCES AND BIBLIOGRAPHY WIKIPEDIA — "Serapeum of Saqqara".
