  I am old enough regrettably, to remember watching the transitioned to colour with aunty jack.... On a black-and-white set!

  The best moment in Norwegian TV was when their football team beat England....the commentator at the end of the match was Iconic...😂😂😂😂😂

  From what I remember, Poland switched to color in around 1971 in SECAM, then aroud early 90&apos;s went switched to PAL.<br>Fun fact: at least in 80&apos;s despite broadcasting in SECAM, the Polish TV was recording news in PAL, so they had to decode everything before editing.

  I heard South Korea didn’t switch to colour until the early 80s because the government thought it would encourage people to watch too much &amp; this would affect productivity!

  I&apos;m not even 50 yet, and we got our first colour TV in 1978 (the B&amp;W set was dumped in a shed at the bottom of the garden). &nbsp;The first thing I remember watching on it was &quot;Doctor Who : The Stones Of Blood&quot; that November. &nbsp;And if you know, I&apos;m sure you know the scene I remember.

  The BBC experimented with Colour on 405 Lines in the 1950s even before my time .

  For Australia, Brisbane had the first television broadcasts in 1934, with a temporary transmitter atop the windmill observatory on Wickham Terrace. Broadcasts could be picked up all over Brisbane and as far away as Ipswich (30km) and included local programing and news headlines. This was only for a few hours per day and only included 30 lines. This was expanded to 180 lines in 1935 and included local news items and silent movies. &nbsp;<br><br>Australia&apos;s federal government down south in Canberra, our bastion of bureaucracy, as usual took their time and so Australia took quite a bit longer to get TV

  Just a 13 year color gap, Philipines got color from 1966, the channel DZAQ now known as ABS-CBN got it&apos;s first color test and switch.
