  For most places, saying they&apos;re open 24/7 is a convenience.<br><br>For Waffle House, it&apos;s a threat.

  As a native born Floridian, the scariest phrase on the planet is “Waffle House is closed”. Ugh, chills down my spine.

  Waffle House is absolutely open 24/7 and they mean it. Been my go-to breakfast place my whole life.

  When my boyfriend came to visit from Germany the first time, he had mentioned he really like waffles, and since there is a Waffle House right up the street from me and we were tired from travel and sightseeing, we ate there as our first restraunt together. We are getting married in the fall.

  Waffle house doesn&apos;t usually need security, for two reasons. 1) The truth is Cops don&apos;t hang at doughnut shops, they hang out at Waffle House, there is almost always either Cops there or about to be there for food, it&apos;s also agreed upon hallowed ground....cops won&apos;t mess with you there no matter how drunk or dodgy you look usually. It&apos;s like timeout, safe zone,..unless you cause trouble, and then your going to face everyone at the waffle house plus the cops as well and worse, maybe number 2. 2) The &nbsp;cook is often the baddest mofo in 3 counties, if they are not they know the baddest mofo in 3 counties. Seriously I dunno where they hire their cooks, but they are good, efficient, and usually the last person you want to cross and seem to have a high percentage of retired veterans.

  At 73, Waffle House is the #1 perk for living with terrible heat, humidity, and insects in the South. Worth It..😂😂

  I&apos;ve only been to Waffle House once, in a heavy thunderstorm traveling through rural Virginia. My husband and I ate lunch there and when we asked for the tab, the waitress told us someone had already paid it, and just asked us to pay it forward. The food was ok, the experience was fantastic.

  If you come to the US and &nbsp;you&apos;re in the South, there&apos;s a high chance there&apos;s a Waffle House by your hotel that you can drop in any time because they&apos;re by a lot of hotels near the major interstates.
