  One other useful thing to have when pulling wire through conduit, especially near the conduit fill and bends is wire lubricant. Klein has a product I recently discovered, spray foam wire lubricant. You spray it into the conduit before pulling, it foams to fill an inch or two of the conduit, and it lubricates the wire as it goes through. I dug up my irrigation wire for the third time while planting a shrub, so I put a 1/2&quot; conduit to the first sprinkler valve box. The dispenser sprays like Great Stuff insulation, but since it&apos;s a lubricant, it doesn&apos;t clog after one project. It worked well enough that I could push 7 conductor 18 gauge irrigation wire through about 15 feet of conduit with two 90s. Since it was only me, it would have been tough pulling and feeding at opposite ends as the save time. The end I pulled out only needed a paper towel to wipe off the excess lubricant.

  Tip: when looking at wire types (like THHN/THWN), the &apos;W&apos; indicates that it&apos;s suitable for wet locations. (The &apos;T&apos; means &apos;Thermoplastic insulation&apos; and the &apos;H&apos; indicates 75C heat resistance; &apos;HH&apos; indicates 90C heat resistance, and &apos;N&apos; means something else that I&apos;m too lazy to look up.)<br><br>Underground conduit fills with water not because it leaks, but because warm, humid air enters the conduit from each end and then the moisture in the air condenses when it cools off underground. To reduce this effect, seal underground conduits with &quot;duct seal&quot; putty at the box or pull point at each end of the underground run.

  I have argued this point probably over a dozen times, and often even professionals say Im wrong and don&apos;t even know enough to argue the point.

  Bonus Tip : You can create a chase way for future circuits or add ons by upsizing yer conduit and leaving a sacrificial pull wire inside. Helps to not have to get back into wall cavities or attics sometimes. I often do this in solar installs for future panels or batteries.

  Great video from the start I was thinking I have done UF cable in electrical PVC conduit for many years and wondered if now NEC was saying that is not acceptable. Glad to see that it is an approved method in outdoor and buried locations. Appreciate the videos!

  Pulling Romex through conduit with any significant bends would be an absolute nightmare. &nbsp;Stranded wire is the way to go, unless you have a really short, straight run.

  Great point you made - &nbsp;for those do it yourselfers who dont want to buy spools of thhn, just buy 25&apos; of exterior and buy conduit.
