  I’m from Russia, and just the other day I bought myself a Niva—though not the model you have, but the Travel version. I also own a Nissan X-Trail and a Kia Rio. Compared to driving the Niva, those other cars feel incredibly relaxing; however, today I took the Niva places where the Nissan wouldn&apos;t make it through and the Kia wouldn&apos;t even reach. Basically, each car has its own purpose: if I need to go fast and cover a long distance, I take the diesel Nissan; the automatic Kia is great for city driving; but if you’re fed up with everything and need to get away to a place where no one can find you—well, the Niva is in a league of its own.

  Actually the first thing about secret club is everywhere. Ppl with Niva always great each other. It&apos;s like they are last survivors in the same team of war. 😂

  In the 90s I was an UN Observer in Serbia, way up in the mountains. It gets cold up there and the snow is very deep. We had Ladas and some others. The reliability went like this. IN last Place, Land Rover Discovery, then in reverse order, Vauxhall, Nissan, Toyota and then Audi Ilti (ex German Army) the Ladas that just never stopped. Basically a tractor with a heater.

  A new version of the Lada Niva has just been released in Russia recently. Over 350 changes have been made, including a new engine and radiator, reduced transmission noise, new brakes, a driver&apos;s airbag, air conditioning, an air intake cover, a cabin air filter, and more.

  I live in Russia and I keep debating whether to buy the niva. My grandfather owns one, so I am familiar with the experience. But damn, this makes me feel like getting one.

  I own an equally legendary car here in India- Szuki Jimny. I hope Lada Niva comes here some day . I drooled over it for some 15 years
