  Bit of a story here. &nbsp; In 1994, our family ended up getting cable thanks to the World Cup being in the USA and the only way to watch it was to have ESPN. I was in elementary school at the time and I would run home from the bus to turn on the tv to watch the only league ESPN had to offer at that time, the Eredivisie. &nbsp;The halftime highlights would always show this team in white with a red strip scoring at will and always winning. &nbsp;That team was this 94/95 Ajax team. &nbsp; I found them again playing in Champions League and had to watch and they were just as dominate. &nbsp;I remember seeing one of the assistants wearing a team jacket that had the champions league patch and thought to myself “one day I want to be like him and wear that patch.” &nbsp; Years later, I have been coaching for 20 years now in high school, club, both Division 1 and Division 2 collegiately and now the USL 1. &nbsp;I’m still trying to reach my final goal of coaching in the Champions League and I know one day I’ll reach it, but all this came from one team….1994/95 Ajax. &nbsp;Thank you for being my motivation!

  Ajax of the early 70,s are my favourite European cup club of all, Cruyff,neeskens,krol,then topping it at the 74 world cup.

  Having watched them live they&apos;re up there with Milan 89-94, Barca 09-15 and Bayern 2011-13 as the best club teams in my lifetime watching football

  Louis Van Gaal is one of the greatest managers of all time and what he achieved with Ajax was unbelievable.

  My 2 brothers and I were born within easy walking distance to the old Ajax stadium (De Meer) so I am a lifelong Ajacied. My aunt lived in Germany and raised a wonderful family of 3 boys who were all huge Bayern fans. You can imagine what family reunions were like! <br><br>As much as I miss the old Ajax teams, I miss the old cotton jerseys with no shield and no advertising. I had several as a child and they were my prized possessions.
