Considering he basically played on 1 leg for the majority of his career, you can't argue with him being the greatest Italian player of his generation

Roberto Baggio is my favourite all time player. He transcends football and sport. His genius, grace, humility, goodness, integrity, transparency and compassion radiates on and off the field. He is as close to a spiritual leader and teacher as one can get in sports.

So glad this video was made in his honour. He is the finest player of all time in my opinion.

The coaches were absolutely terrible for treating a talent like that the way they did!!! Very sad!!! Cause he was definitely 1 of the best!!!

Wow. Players like Baggio needed to be in their prime post 2000. When they started cleaning up the tackling. Imagine he was given the ability to play to his potential without the fear of getting chopped. Im sure the savagery of football in the 80s and 90s would have contributed to his injuries. And don't get me started on what the coaching in that country did to such a talented player

Baggio was the greatest of his generation. And that was a brilliant generation, inbetween those of Maradona and Ronaldo. Legend

By far my favourite player and I am a Juventino who spent 2 years in Italy when Del Piero was at his peak. Still, Baggio was something else and I don't think we will ever see an Italian player like him again.
