It seems like no one likes season 1 but to me its just the perfect little 6 episode time capsule of the mundane work environment in the early 2000s office space. Low budget grittier feel and everyone looks like normal people lol

My favorite scene in the series finale is when Pam says in voice over "Michael has so many pictures of his kids that he had to get two phones...with two numbers and he pays two bills. He's so happy to have a family plan.".. its nice to know how happy he was with Holly.

18:15. This scene was based entirely on a real event. When GPS first came out there were… some glitches. A woman really did drive her car into a lake because the GPS said to turn.

"THE MOST OVERRATED SHOW IN EXISTENCE" followed by 45 minutes of over-the-top gushing all over it. Insane what some creators do to get views

DeAngelo wasn't the greatest and definitely ill-timed, but I don't think you put enough credit on the invisible juggling set to Bring Me to Life by Evanescence. That shit gets me every time and has permanently synced that song with that moment for me.

The only good thing to come out of Michael’s exit, was the real friendship that developed between Jim and Dwight. The Florida episodes are some of my favorite.

Don't tell fans something they've watched 9x through isn't what they remember, that's called gaslighting

As an American, I enjoyed those early first season episodes, diversity day being one of my favorite episodes in the entire series. Where does this idea come from that Americans need characters to all love each other? Probably our own media, which always talks about us in the third person.

The biggest problem with most shows in 2026, is that they are only 8-10 episodes and can't properly tell stories or properly develop characters. The audience has changed drastically. I heard an interview by Damon and Affleck, that shows and movies are now set up to the audience's phone behavior, rather than properly telling a story. For example, a show only needs to be good in certain time frames within the allotted 30 minute show or 1.5 hour movie and the budget and "good writing" is placed accordingly. It's crazy to think that shows and movies are now written based on short attention spans and the "good stuff" only happens based on algorithms of when the viewer is looking at the stream or Facebook and trying to balance that back and forth. "Okay, the viewer should be switching back to us now from TikTok, so lets make minutes 20-27 REALY good!". It's insane.
