  The main reason that Morrisons is such a poor supermarket is it's owners. Greedy, uncaring, Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, a private equity asset-stripping group. By August of this year, the group's net debt had risen to about £7.52 billion, according to its latest accounts. As a result of typically American finance organisations,  there are few staff on the shopfloor, almost no human-manned checkouts, a 'delicatessen' which is a sick joke and a range of products that reflect the lack of interest in the consumer. Compare the products in Morrisons stores with those at any Marks & Spencer Food Hall. My wife and I no longer shop at Morrisons. I refuse to spend 20 or more minutes in a line of people where there is only one staffed checkout. Another sad example of rip-off American financiers destroying what was once a good and thriving company.

  Morrisons used to be brilliant,  it's now run by Americans and it's nose dive has been legendary.

  My stepdaughter used to work at our local Morrisons whilst at college along with many other students who would work the unsociable hours the full time staff didn't want to do. She then went to York uni and while there worked part time at the York store and during the holidays came home and worked at our local store. Then came the new manager who was apparently  tasked with getting rid of all the student workers. One by one they disappeared until my stepdaughter was accused of fraudulent use of discount cards at our local store. She got the union rep involved with no luck. He basically said they want all the students out whatever. All the dates and times she was accused of at our local store she wasnt actually there, she was at uni and working at the York store. It caused her so much stress and affected her studies, she quit. None of the family have shopped there since  and never will.

  For some years Morrisons had the best fruit and veg and fresh fish of any supermarket, now it's crap

  It is good to see that people are beginning to see that private equity/hedge funds and other similar banking firms have destroyed almost every British company. From  Acorn computers to Rover cars, they have all been bought out run down and sold off or closed. What we need now is  a way to destroy them.

  i'm in my sixties and for the first time in my life just weeks ago i had to return two steaks as they were totally un edible due to the amount of fat and hard gristle, i asked for the store manager and told her no way your butchers didnt know this yet you still let it go on the shelves, she offered me replacements and i told her no thanks i;ll take a refund as im never buying anything from here again, she actually said "what because of two steaks that im willing to replace or refund"   and i said no because your willing to let customers buy that crap and your butchers are willing to put it on the shelf.........i've been shopping there from the day it opened i have not been back since, over priced and very bad product

  The 21st century is being turned into a dystopian nightmare. All supermarkets have reduced quality. And whilst alienating their own customers and staff. The profit above all else comes with costs.
