Great videos. I appreciate when you do cover the tips that would be otherwise obvious to an experienced person, because skipping over the obvious is often the issue that makes a simple project more difficult. The way you are constantly teaching as you go about the project is very helpful. Keep up the great work!

Love learning from someone who enjoys what they do . Your years of experience show in your ability to do the work rapidly without waste of effort and all the while telling us everything we need to know . All we have to do is listen. Thanks for giving back what you have learned.

Video suggestion… a video on how you seal and glass your PVC rigging tubes into your bulkheads and stringers. I noticed you have a unique way of doing it.

Good call on the mask. In future videos you might consider mentioning organic vapor cartridges for the paint and acetone. Many folks would not realize that there are mask cartridges specific to the airborne hazard; particulate cartridge for dusty work, organic vapor for paints and chemicals, etc.
I'm planning to gel coat my canoe so I'm paying close attention.
Thank you.

I have worked with resin building 4" thick resin tables to custom fiberglass car parts to yacht building for over 40 years wtih each manufacturing process always employing these same rules when repairing any of them:
1) Always wear a respirator and PPE
2) Always degrease then scuff surface
3) Clean again with acetone
4) Hardner ratio based on temperature and humidity
5) Mixing in one cup then poured in a tray to avoid having uncatalyzed resin.
6) Pot life in a cup versus in a rolling tray ( in a cup it will produce more heat in a cup and harden versus distributed flat on a surface taking longer to harden giving you more working time)
7) If the surface temperature of your boat is cooler than the ambient temperature, the gelcoat once applied will drop in temperature to the the given surface thus slowing the catalyzation time.

I really enjoy watching each and every video. Keep up the great work!!!!
