The fix is not to not trust any raw expensive card unless it has been sent to Fanatics Collect for CGC authentication or through eBay authentication.

Unfortunately, we now need third parties to shift the risk onto.

I would be willing to bet that the early on graded Case hits within 2 months would be what people are willing to buy. These cards have been out now for a few months so if you have versions that were graded within one or maybe 2 months of release there is more confidence in it being 100% authentic. Part of me wonders if people will start going for the earliest graded copies of stuff like this

I wonder when these "case hits" all just start being produced as serialized only

Would bet alot of money there are fake alter egos circulating… any fake mid end case hits like helix and fanatical would be scary. The mid end stuff moves around so much

This is what happened to sneakers. Fake Jordans were garbage quality and very easy to spot. Then sneakers blew up. Suddenly it was worth it for bigger investments - factories were buying the exact same machines the real shoes were made on, employees in legit factories were making money on the side training workers in the fake factories on the equipment and even how to exactly replicate their production techniques. Bootleggers tracked down suppliers and purchased straight from them all materials and other components of the shoes - laces, insoles, tags, etc. There are fake Jordans (especially 1s and 11s) that you can put side-by-side the real shoes and not be able to tell the difference. I guarantee this type of thing is already in the works in China, especially with things like sneakers falling off in demand, they are going to look around and go "what's next"?

Ebay better step up their game on this fraud. Hopefully the AI can get better at even spotting this trash before it gets listed. Idk but we are in scary times.
