The quoted costs for BMW’s is about $9,000 low. Purchasable RT’s are around $30,000 with strict servicing ($$$$). <br>Note the comments in the narrative “careful” riding to get the mileage. <br>The FJR on interstates at 70+ is good for 200 to 250. On back roads being gentle 45 - 55 gets 275 to 300. I once went 375 miles on 5.5 gallons at 75 mph in Arizona with a 35 - 40mph tail wind. Shows how much energy is used in overcoming drag.

What about the Zontes 350x sports tourer ? 70 mpg and a 5.2 gallons tank. This bike does over 350 miles on a full tank and only cost $3000 to buy brand new. 0 to 60 mph in 5.8 secs.

If moto guzzi had better representation in the us I'd get one but as things stands nc750 would probably be my pick.
