I would have liked to see the Moto Guzzi V100 in this test as having a shaft drive definitely has some advantages.

Indeed the Moto Guzzi V100 S comes fully loaded with everything a touring bike might need, including shaft drive which I don't think many on this list have.

I’m a newer rider. I bought a GSX-8R, put some bags on it, and have done 11,000 miles in just over a year.

Excellent. For me the Honda CB1000gt is the top when you take service costs, parts, dealers and reliability into account. The Kawasaki would be a close second.

I have a 2004 Yamaha Fazer 1000 sports tourer with 180,000 miles on the clock (not all my miles btw). No riding modes, no TFT, simple clocks, no quick shifter...just pure riding. That's all you need. Its a monster. If I won the lottery, or a rich aunt rose from the dead with a few quid, the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX looks the dogs boll*cks.

Not sure why the QJ Motors bike was included, with its 19 inch front wheel, contrary to what was stated about sports tourers at the start of the video. Could easily have included the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello instead. Anyway, I look forward to the Suzuki SV7 GX.

I am very happy with my Kawasaki Versys 1000 se GT 2019 version, does what I need for solo and two up riding with fully loaded luggage. I am glad that these bikes are not raiding but coming back, I look forward to seeing what the market comes up with over the next few years. I just see that some of these bikes are more focused on solo riders than two up, usually the weight limit is a choice of panniers, or top box, or pillion, or all luggage but barley filled with no pillion.

For me the sports touring bike class is like an estate car in the automotive world - practical, but still fun to drive with space for luggage 😊😅.<br>The best ones for me are Triumph Tiger 800 and definitely KTM Duke 1390 GT 🤟🤩
