  I have mat black accessories in my kitchen and I’ve never had a problem with keeping them clean and pristine.

  I had a pot filler in my last kitchen, and I loved it. It reduced the need to lug a full pot of water by 50% and was used every time I needed to deglaze a pan, top up the stock pot, etc. My walls were open anyway, and the plumbing itself was a flexible cold water line. The overall cost, as part of a total gut kitchen remodel, was negligible and I used it daily. &nbsp;I will never understand the idea that, because it doesn&apos;t remove 100% of the task, that it isn&apos;t worth having.

  Our matte black Delta &nbsp;faucet wipes perfectly clean every night. &nbsp;The key to keeping matte black looking great is to simply DRY it off; takes 2 seconds. <br><br>(Of course, it takes 21 days to create the new habit of doing so.😂)

  Thank you. &nbsp;I plan on using vertical fluted cabinet fronts. &nbsp;Your discussion of the down sides didn&apos;t change my mind, but it is good to understand them. &nbsp;For me, I have an effective range hood, and as a single old guy, I don&apos;t cook that much. &nbsp;The advantage of being able to have a unified appearance regardless of how the drawers line up and the widths vary and being do-able for DIYer over-rides that I might not have clean crevices. &nbsp;If it gets too bad, I&apos;ll power wash them!

  I just want floor drains and trash shoots to become popular. The amount of cleaning would be nothing 🙂‍↕️ also as a cook, everything is put in the open in shelves😂 we don&apos;t waste time, blood and money on cabinets or doors. Not aesthetic, but gets the job done. We also have pot fillers of we have a tilt skillet, which is also why a floor drain is amazing

  A couple of thoughts. First, high gloss cabinets are terrible for aging in place. Your vision degrades with age; the glare and reflections on high gloss cabinets can be really irritating and disorienting to older eyes. Also, for people who like wood countertops but don&apos;t want the maintenance or damage risks associated with them, both Dekton and Neolith make sintered stone (ceramic) countertops that mimic wood. Look up Dekton Kedar and Neolith Pasadena.

  Why can&apos;t the pot filler fold away to the side? That way less grease build up.
