How could the transmission work if only 1 motor running,? only that transmission would be lubricated !!the other would run dry, . and we all know what happens when pump is not sending fluid thru, there is only 1 or 2 gm transmissions that can be flat towed , not the th425! It has a front pump normal setup !So what did they do ? this is a bs at least the front or rear part i know they made 1 Caddy did too but both motors ran same time the hairy olds yea because both were runing

Oldsmobile Engineers were always smoking some good stuff, especially in the 80s, they built stuff for the pure joy of performance and luxury.

About the time GM closed the desert proving grounds in Mesa, Arizona. Several research vehicles went up for auction at Barrett Jackson. Among them was a Chevy Citation with a similar layout to the Toranado except with two V6 engines. Sold with only a bill of sale as it had no VIN number tag and as they put it not able to be registered for road use.

Hold my beer! I think I can take the back end off two Oldsmobile toronado and make one look like the rear end then stick them together to make it look like one car.😂

At aboutvthe :40 mark it looks like the steering wheel needs to be re-centered on its shaft.

I liked the idea of a front wheel drive car but it wasn’t sold much and 450 cubic inch V8 meant 3-4 mpg.
As a high school senior in 72 we only had about a year of low gas prices and in 73 gas went up to $1.50 gallon it was $0.27 gallon in 72.
That’s a big increase for anyone

You would need to run both engines with the engine and transmission not driving the vehicle in neutral.
Does anybody remember the two George Barris customized 67X cars? They were customized for a contest in conjunction with Canada's centennial year 🇨🇦 eh
