  I'm Russian, (so sorry for english), but I'm so tired how we portrayed in American show. Not everyone drink vodka, not everyone prostitutes or mafia, we not cold. And yes, we can laugh about ourselves,  but when in every movie or TV show we are nasty or just rude, we are tired of this.... Thank you for video, it's really interesting. Love you 😊

  i never thought petrovsky was a bad guy, just the wrong fit for carrie. i actually laughed out loud in the finale when he slaps her bc it seemed like the writers were just doing anything to make big seem like the better man

  I also feel like Alex and his inner circles were intellectually out of Carrie’s league. Carrie was not a worldly or well read person. She spoke ad nauseam about NYC culture while exclusively frequenting white American spaces. She showed no curiosity in Holland when Alex asked if she’d been, almost like she was appalled by the implication she had. She did right by settling for Big. I don’t think Carrie could handle feeling intellectually inadequate for the rest of Alex’s life.

  Also Miranda doesn’t have a single creative bone in her body, she’s incredibly practical so it makes sense that she doesn’t understand or relate to Aleks but she doesn’t even try. She also settled for Steve and accepts the bare minimum so I absolutely wouldn’t be taking any relationship advice from her lol

  Carrie crying about Paris was so crazy to me! It’s a major city! If she truly had gotten through everything she wanted to do in a week (sure), she could have taken a train to London, Madrid, Berlin, Florence! Take a language class girl 😭😭

  I always preferred Alexsandr over Big and I hated that the writers manufactured that “slap” to get rid of the character. I used to work with a Ukrainian man who spoke fluent Russian. He was always very matter-of-fact, but very kind and even thoughtful. He was let go from his position because someone said he was “too mean”. I was shocked because I never got that vibe from him. I’m sure his accent played a role.
