  I still stand by the idea that Star Destroyers were just a giant jobs programme by The Empire. There&apos;s no way you needed that many crew for those ships, Palpatine just wanted as many people to have a stake in The Empire as possible. The Imperial Navy was a complete waste of money and resources, but it didn&apos;t matter because the galaxy&apos;s economy basically depended on them existing.

  First I thought operation cinder was a stupid idea, but then I remembered - the Imperator can conjure up fleets, personal and superweapons from nothing so it&apos;s okay.

  The Yevetha had many Imperial ships, including a SSD, in The Black Fleet Crisis trilogy. Highly recommended read, and reminds me of what could have been for a sequel trilogy.

  They were all taken to shipyards like Corellia and repurposed for the New Republic fleet, as said in the Ashoka series...

  One mistake; the New Republic had a second SSD, the Guardian. It too served in the Yuuzhan Vong War and survived the conflict, but it&apos;s very likely after the end of that war it was either taken apart or abandoned. At this time the Imperial Remnant was also said to have one, although it made one cameo appearance and then vanished.
