  Expanded canon: We have super shipyard, super tractor beam, planet devourer, warp rocket cannon, mass petrificator, gravity amplifier...<br>Disney canon: Death Star... but bigger. Star Destroyers... but with guns somehow as powerful as a Death Star. Wow, we are so creative.

  The insanely detailed story of the Death Star&apos;s construction and functionality is exactly what I love about Star Wars- even if it exists solely as a weapon of the plot of an evil empire story, it still manages to be an object with believable proportions and function in the empire and the people in it. It didn&apos;t just pop out of nowhere, it wasn&apos;t solely Palpatines idea, and it wasn&apos;t built solely on empire resources or assets. It&apos;s a project with the fingerprints of generations and societies put into it, and that size and presence makes it a weapon as well as so much more.<br><br>Something that can be said about.. approximately none of the other things from the following sequel series.
