  I grew up going to art fairs with my mom. Setup was always exhausting, she basically never made her money back, and she had to deal with a bunch of weirdos and sometimes theft. It&apos;s work, that&apos;s all.

  Like gold mining, the people who made the money were the one&apos;s selling picks and corn meal. &nbsp;Sounds like the same thing here, &nbsp;the organizers are making money off the artists, &nbsp;not the patrons.

  I have a close friend who makes a living off of his art. I&apos;ve seen the ups and downs and how many outside factors play into selling your art. The term &quot;starving artist&quot; is so real.
