What a privilege to listen to this conversation. The art selling world can seem opaque often. Yes please do more talks like this for us. 🙏🙏🙏 <br><br>For the artists who want to make painting a viable livelihood, it is so helpful to understand that being well rounded in skills, along with skills to paint well, are critical to increasing the chance of successful selling.

As a neurodivergent struggling to live in a society not fitting for me, this honestly made me terrified to even consider a gallery. 🥺 I would unintentionally fk it all up.

If I have gallery representation that is NOT EXCLUSIVE, and a collector who saw some of my work in said gallery comes to me personally to purchase a piece from my studio, I will happily give the gallery a reduced commission. And I always ask where the collector has seen my work so I can give props where necessary.
