  I see a lot of confusion and disagreement around my comment that Bruce is Batman&apos;s persona and he has been replaced by Batman. It&apos;s also a really interesting read if you like Batman or the show.<br><br>I posted it in a few other comments so I might as well put it here because I think some people are mixing versions of Batman. After all, he is unique in certain ways across all media. I forgot to include it in the video so here is the supporting evidence from the creators.

  Bruce wayne apologizing to his dead parents for getting over their death is the best description of batman ever. Something that should be celebrated, is in his mind, something he is ashamed of. He can never escape batman because it is who he is.

  My mom died of cancer when I was 9 and my dad was a junkie that left me in foster care. 90s animated Batman is absolutely perfect with its depiction of the anger and trauma

  One thing I love about the Battinson movie is how this is his exact character arc. Reeves understood that Batman is, ultimately, a symbol of hope and compassion. He showed how Batman grew from an edgy, vengeful vigilante to a compassionate hero who gave people hope. He showed exactly why the dark, edgy Batman doesn’t work. It was really good.

  The coolest thing about a well written batman is how he addresses villains by their real names. It’s a stubborn refusal to play into their constructed reality and shows how anchored he is.

  The most iconic scene for me with Batman is him sitting with Ace as she dies. He is compassion. He understands pain, trauma, heartbreak, and loss. He understands it all so keenly and his most powerful, fundamental desire is to see no one else suffer it.

Like,<br><br>“If he’s taking pills in order to cope, then why is he also doing the Batman persona? Because the source material implies that the Batman persona is how he copes, not drugs.”

  Something I liked a lot in The Batman movie is how Bruce realizes his anger and violance will only generate more of it, and to overcome this he has to be something else, he has to be hope
