I had a stalker in the early 90’s, female & she lived in my building. I had threatening letters, voice messages (on answering machine tapes)…. Went to police, nope sorry there’s nothing we can do “until” she hurts you!

I was defeated. Later that night, two cops came to my door, said they just started their shifts & read my report and thought they’d have a little “chat” with my stalker. Note: She was very afraid of police. They were BIG lol and went to her door, BANGED and hollered so the whole building heard “Police open up”! Then they had their “chat”. She never came near me ever again & and ran the other way if our path even slightly crossed!

A wrote a formal thank you to those two policeman, and I will never forget it ! I believe I am alive today because of them. ❤

Hearing that call really made my cry. The resignation in her voice. She knew that she was going to die then. She was such a strong woman.

I’m with Peggy’s sister. Sorry, but Albuquerque PD failed Peggy. Patrick set Mark’s house on fire. How is arson not a crime?! Especially when you pair it with all the stalking. I just don’t understand how NOTHING was done. I understand there are varying degrees of arson, but to me, that seems like it could potentially be attempted murder.

The way the DA spoke to her in such a disrespectful manner was also appalling. She did everything right and was failed on so many levels. Such a heartbreaking case. So amazing that Debbie has been able to turn this tragedy into a positive thing moving forward. Glad that law enforcement has better training for such circumstances. She also offered great advice on how to speak to a stalking victim❤❤❤

Can you imagine being that UPS driver and realizing what a grave error you had made? Heartbreaking

Hearing Peggy say “I’m the only one here” during the call really got me. She knew what was going to happen and was still in control enough to try to save Rachel. Also, Rachel was a true badass and I’m so glad she survived!

Some school districts are adding domestic abuse awareness programs to their curriculums. I think this should be a mandatory requirement. Reading, writing, arithmetic, how to spot red flags in relationships

29:12 I feel like she was trying to save her neighbor. “I’m the only one here” like she was going to feed herself to the wolves to make sure an innocent bystander didn’t get caught in the crossfire.

So truly heartbreaking.

At bare minimum, Patrick should have been ordered to wear an ankle monitor to make sure he kept his distance from Peggy.
