  Being almost 26, child-free and never having given myself over to a man. Not living with one, none of that. I am so beyond grateful that I have the privilege of being able to move through my life at this point on my own terms entirely. And I wouldn’t risk depending on one or getting pregnant right now for anything.

  No one is perfect, when your in a relationship or married you need to work at the relationship, men are not going to treat you like Princess all the time,  Women are not going to treat you like a Prince all the time. That thinking is delusional. Communication is key in relationships, talk about any  problems/ issues, and also set boundaries, such as no cheating,  this includes emotional cheating, No Porn, Strip Joints, ect. You need to have self control, don't lust after other people either! Do special things for each other. Wait for marriage to have sex, only share your body with your spouse.

I learned the hard way when I temporarily had to couch hop a few years ago. I had literally dozens of friends, and only 4 of them were willing/able to let me stay a few nights on their couches. Most of my friends, even most of my closest friends, straight up left me on “read” when I texted them asking for help. That taught me to be even more independent than I already was, and never to assume friends will be there when I need help. That’s also a lot of why I’m not planning to ever have kids, because raising them takes a village, and people these days don’t want to help. People keep trying to convince me to have kids now that I’m married, but it’s a hard no from me. I understand friends don’t have to help me raise my potential future children, but I also don’t have to have the kids in the first place.
