I would like to play as Angela, being able to see what her Silent Hill was like.

"Me? No....Id never kill myself." Clearly James is denying any suicidal thoughts when perhaps hes been having them all along

When I was in college, I was in a cinema class. For my final exam I submitted a shot for shot retelling of the interactions between James and Angela. People were wiping tears away at the end. Her story was so powerful and tragic

I always wished I could save Angela. I felt so sorry for her. I guess she, like James, was drawn to Silent Hill to try to save herself but her mental state due to the trauma she had suffered made her unable to do so. Many people who have been abused blame themselves for that abuse. She was incapable of cutting herself some slack for the murders she had committed in what must have been an act of desperation, seeing as she could not escape the abuse. Poor Angela.

The worst part of abuse is not even the physical but the mental scars, the manipulation that haunts you even after the abuser/abusers are long gone.
It literally tries to completely ruin you/kill you.
It is evil.
ESPECIALLY if the abuser is your own family member who you should trust the most! It is devastating.
It puts an unnatural amount of pressure on you and you have to fight against it every day to even have a bare minimum state of peace as you should feel naturally.
This is especially hard when you get abused as a child. It is life threatening and to make it even worse it kills you as slow as possible. Slowly pinching of pieces of your life that you should be spending being happy and glowing/developing and forces you into a void.

For me Angel's story hits close to home and i feel so sorry for her but also feel a lot of anger towards her relatives. It is absolutely unacceptable what they did and it feels me with pain that she is still wasting her precious life on chasing after their non existing love.
Her mom is an absolute demon yet she still can not realize this!
This is so incredibly tragic and evil.
I hope that anyone who suffers from abuse gets out of it and gets away from the unworthy people for good!

Being a survivor of childhood incest by my father, I can relate very personally with Angela and her inner turmoil the most of all the other characters, as I struggle with the same emotional rollercoaster ride we see her deal with here that stems from PTSD and triggers from the abuse. It hits me very deeply.
I find myself unconsciously avoiding looking at my own eyes in the mirror as I hate what I see reflected back.

Angela breaks my heart. No matter how many times I play the game, her story breaks my heart like I'm hearing it for the first time.

To any victims of rape or incest, I mean this from the bottom of my heart and my soul: It's not your fault.

Maybe it brings her a tiny bit of solace knowing her family is dead. That they can't hurt her anymore but when she can't find their Headstones she feels uneasy. Perhaps because they're now free to hurt her again.

20:01 not only would it never work out, with trauma like that, you have to relearn, re-establish, that all those things: healing your pain, loving yourself, saving yourself, it can all only be done by your own hand.
But the guilt, has consumed Angela, the trauma has prevented her from understanding her own identity and sense of self. And that’s what breaks my heart the most.
