💬 Okay, so I knew a total of 2 sentences after hearing this song a gazillion times. 🥰 But NOW, the song has meaning. Love that this was recorded in a spiritual building.

I'd prefer to never hear you say "I'm so useless" again.

I'm 62 and in my entire life, this is the one and only song that brings me to tears every time i hear it. We never did see eye to eye.

The way you speak about it openly shows how special you are. My father expelled me from home at the age of 18(1988). I have lived by myself ever since. My father was considered an extremely mean man, but I was closer to my mother which had a kind heart. I was away when she passed away and I also couldn't tell her what I wanted. I have lived around the world, and I still speak to my mother very often in my prayers. I watched your video and tears rolled down again but nowadays, the tears have a grateful meaning. I wish you a great great success with your channel. You deserve it.

The incredible vocals of Paul Carrack. What a heart wrenching song for all those of us who never got to tell their fathers the things we should have done when we had the chance. I'm 72 now and it still hurts like hell 24 years later. 💔
