8 year old me was extremely excited when I first saw Lego Minecraft in Walmart’s Lego section back in 2014! 10 years later I can’t believe it’s still going strong, and it’s one of my favorite Lego themes

Hearing that LEGO Minecraft is 10 years old is like a punch to the stomach

The old Lego Minecraft will always have a special place in my heart… something about building those cave and plains sets were just awesome.

This very first End set was on shelves when my family visited Legoland. Me and my brother could not leave without it. I still remember building it in the hotel room. Good old carefree times...

I honestly prefer the original sets more. They tend to use mainly the more blocky kind of legos and simple tiles, the old sets also feel a lot more minecrafty with the scenes they depic, whilst modern sets are a bit obnoxiously colorful at times. I still like modern sets, the recent 2026 wave that was announced looks good.

Lego Minecraft is a theme very near and dear to my heart. I remember as a kid splitting my allowance with my brothers to buy the first skin pack set. We had hours of fun with those 4 minifigures, and when we slowly got more sets and more player skins, it started to feel like an in house original theme like Ninjago rather than a licensed theme. I’ll always have a soft spot for this theme, can’t wait to see what it’s got in store for the future

I miss when the sets were plain and classic. None of these weird animal houses, just plain survival minecraft.
