Holy nostalgia. I had all of these sets as a kid except the stronghold and village, but I always remember begging my parents for them. These sets were by far some of my most played with and cherished sets from my childhood, so revisiting them here has been such a treat. I should really get around to rebuilding all my old Minecraft sets one of these days

Whilst its changed a lot over the years, Lego Minecraft has been one of the most consistently great lego themes

Can't believe Lego Dr Trayuarus is now 10 years old :_glaciator:

Also fun fact: If you place Steve on the black void in the stronghold and move the lava back, he pops out the other side and the black slab is supposed to be the obsidian platform that you spawn on in the end!

My favorite fun fact about the village set is the Lego designer for it talked about it being designed specifically as a centerpiece for your Lego Minecraft world. How the desert outpost and jungle treehouse connect to it pretty well

9:17 I think the reason why the Stronghold chests have such terrible loot is because originally they were planned to be found slightly above ground, coming out of a hill or mountain.
This would mean that the player would have already have found the portal, before even going to the Nether for the eyes. So, including regular survival mode loot makes sense, as this is meant to be the early game.
But due to complications with having part of the Stronghold poking out of the ground, it was buried underneath the earth, only to be found with the aforementioned Eyes Of Ender, giving them another purpose – being a locator.

And the loot was never changed, as you still can find the structure in the early game, it's just much more unlikely.

I remember watching the Lego Minecraft movies on yt as a kid and wanting sets like the iron golem just to have stuff from those Lego brick films.

 I can't believe it's already been 10 years 😅

I wish they'd go back to the elevated models that all interconnect via brown 2x4 bricks

The flat baseplates with no height has been one of my recent criticisms of more recent sets (feels like they're going back to their roots with the latest sets)

The village might be my favorite set ever, I love how it’s a “centerpiece” with every biome represented :)

The village has been the centerpiece of my minecraft collection since I got it way back then. I love how it has so many biomes, it makes it so easy to connect other sets seemlessly. Not to mention the nostalgia of those older village buildings, so good!

Honestly looking at this makes me want to just play Minecraft again.
