  Just a message from your IRL brother. &nbsp;I’m proud of you Jen. &nbsp;I appreciate how decently chill Mom and Dad were when we were growing up. &nbsp;They encouraged us (never really shamed us) to follow the church teachings, but didn’t disown us or berate us for leaving. &nbsp;I really didn’t appreciate that until I heard the stories of others. &nbsp;You were SUPER molly Mormon…way more than I ever was! &nbsp;I always compared myself to your “Mormon goodness” growing up. &nbsp;I was so surprised when I learned you were leaving 15 years ago or whatever 😂. &nbsp;Glad you guys had this opportunity to tell your story. &nbsp;If Mom and Dad are reading this, thanks for everything.

  Love this family, especially the way these parents honored their kids&apos; autonomy &amp; agency. They gave their gay son love &amp; room to grow but intervened when it was necessary. Loved hearing how the dad told church leaders nope to stuff that would have caused harm. Love wins.

  Nevermo raised atheist in south Louisiana heavily Catholic/ religious area…I never miss an episode! &nbsp;This is such an intellectual, emotionally intelligent and inspiring podcast! &nbsp;I find community here as a kind compassionate highly educated person that sometimes struggles to find people that don’t think I am going to hell…even though I believe I lead a more Christlike life than those who claim to follow Christ or God. &nbsp;I am surrounded by religious people spewing racism, bigotry, judgment of others and this isn’t all religious people but is my general experience. &nbsp;I live my life as like we have one life. &nbsp;There is a quote which I &nbsp;am going to butcher but it something like let’s make this world so wonderful so that people if there is a heaven want to come down here and love with us.<br><br>This is one of my favorite episodes and was dying after the teaser a few weeks ago! &nbsp;<br><br>Thanks John, Margie, Mormon stories, and the Lindquists for an amazing Mormon Stories!

  I met Kevin while &nbsp;he served his mission in South Africa <br>Thank you for standing up for kids<br>I left the Mormon church 31 years ago a year after my mission.

  These two people are amazing. They are so full of love for their family. I wish all families had parents like these two.
