  Thank you both for being so transparent. I left the Mormon church 27 years ago. I lost my whole world, I was ex-communicated.. In my search I had a spiritual awakening. I tried main street churches and I don't feel I belong there either. I'm now at peace with God and my beliefs in Jesus Christ as my personal savior. I really have been loving your videos. 💞💞🙏

  What a FANTASTIC discussion, not only for Mormons or ex-Mormons, but anyone examining beliefs and deconstructing from ANY religion. Your kids are lucky to have intelligent, thoughtful parents who no doubt will encourage critical thinking and free thought. Hallelujah!

  I was born and grew up in Japan. Most Japanese people, including me, were raised without religion. We do some costumes that are originated by Shinto, but when it comes to doctrine and real life restrictions, it&apos;s none. We just historically learned that nature is beyond human understanding, and that&apos;s how we are taught about the strange or miraculous things in this world. Which is so different from the Western perfect-singular-god concept. We do have some Gods&apos; stories, but they are similar to the Greek gods&apos; myths. <br><br>From my experience, not having a religion is ok, not believing in God is ok, and having any religion is also ok. I feel that Western people tend to have a feeling of &quot;People have to believe at least something,&quot; but I see that as a part of very unique Western culture. There are good and bad ppl in any group regardless of religion, race, or nationality.<br><br>Anyway, I love you guys. You guys are proving that two really smart people with real-life experiences create awesome lives! :)

  It&apos;s really incredible that you, as a couple, were able to reach the same conclusions at the same time. &nbsp;I don&apos;t think that&apos;s terribly common. &nbsp;It&apos;s a testament to the open communication, intimacy and trust between the two of you. &nbsp;Really impressive.

  I&apos;m so glad that you guys have come out of the LDS religion with your marriage intact. It&apos;s hard to hurt people, but you always need to do what is best for you and your family.

  Im from Hungary and LDS is not really big here, but I had in recent years a couple of collagues from the LDS church. In the most, they are lovely people and good collagues, however the most funny thing was, when we spoke about the coffee thing, that they dont drink coffee, but they are drinking a hungarian energy drink called Hell. And for some reason, that was the most funny thing for me 😂

  I’ve never heard Sam speak with this kind of authority, confidence, and raw emotion in a video. So proud to see you both coming into your own and breaking past some of those barriers — I know this stuff is so hard to talk about!! I’m an exvangelical (Pentecostal) but share many similarities in my story.
