The problem is the old classics have ALL been reformulated into cheaper recipes. They may still smell good but they DON'T LAST.

If I chose to only have 5 perfumes, SJP Lovely and Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds would be two of them. As it is now, I spent the past 5 years exploring perfumes as a hobby... only to conclude that, for me, Elizabeth Taylor, Sarah Jessica Parker, Elizabeth Arden, and Jovan musks are the top tier perfumes out there.

Today’s Anáis Anáis smells NOTHING like the one I used in the late 80 and early 90’s. Today’s version is hideous.

Finally someone recognized White Diamonds! I have 42 bottles of perfume on my vanity, but White Diamonds is my signature and I've never found another scent that I love better. Every time I wear it, I get so many compliments, especially from men. My former husband bought me a gift set in 1991 when it came out and I've never been without several bottles. I only wear the EDP which is harder to find, but the larger stores still carry it at Christmas. My late son always bought it for me for Mother's Day.

I recently bought Lovely and it is truly a wonderful scent! But my newest fabulous scent is Tocade by Rochas... it is so amazing I can hardly believe it.

Elizabeth Arden 5th Ave has always been a favorite. I’m 47 and have worn it since the 90’s. Don’t sleep on it! It’s so elegant and understated.
