Greetings from France. I just had an audition in a very pretty village called UZES in the south of France. OK, we live nearby but, it was my first visit to this reseller just out of town. I would order these only on looks! I love their slighly tilted aspect and the downward bass port. I will need another test before ordering them after using my playlist. They sounded superb for the money. My current loudspeakers are JM Reynaud Cantibile that are close to 20 years old.

Damn, man, you're back on the sauce again. It does improve your production value. Keep up the good work.

When checking tonality they should be listened in mono, for the other aspects stereo is beneficial.

Dear Helmholtz, thank you very much for this review, which, as always, is thoroughly scientific and objective. And I completely understand the “infinite” rating. But tell me, who’s that guy in the orange jacket who keeps talking about the girl next door? Unlike you, he doesn’t seem to know much about audio—am I right? Besides, he makes some really strange noises.

Dont know how the Solstice sound but they look dam gorgeous and based on the weight are probably better built than other at the same price.

I have to confess, I hate the fact Triangle always puts ironmongery, or plasticmongery over the tweeters. I think it makes them look cheap, though I am aware they are well built, great sounding speakers.

I do like the binding posts, however, and bottom porting. My AV speakers are from Fyne Audio who also bottom port their speakers, which makes placement incredibly flexible.

I married the girl next door, and she is perfect. OK, I never actually lived next door to her, but she looks and acts exactly like the stereotypical US girl next door despite being Scottish. Sometimes, if I ask nicely, she will put on a cotton polka dot dress, style her hair in a ponytail and rustle me up a nice apple pie. Her name is Michele, but under those circumstances we can call her Emily. I also pretend I work in advertising cigarettes.
