  <b>Yes we&apos;re calling it an Air Hammer</b> . Not going to call it Striker like some Top Gun call sign and also because thats what we feel it is - it uses air for the source of its performance <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvbL7xjbae4&amp;t=1212">20:12</a> and operates the way an air hammer does. An air compressor also uses electricity and a piston to compress air taking rotational power and turning it into reciprocal piston motion, this is just doing that compression INSIDE the tool. Is it REALLY hoseless instead of cordless? Yes. But there&apos;s lots of tools that were originally pneumatic now battery powered that are called cordless, web searches using &quot;hoseless&quot; unlikely to get you where your trying to go when looking for these.

  First cordless air hammer was me... As a farm kid. My Dad would give me the sledge and have me hammer until I was huffing and puffing and then told me to keep going. 🫁😮‍💨💨💨💨💨💨

  Mechanical Engineer here that regularly does vibration testing as part of his day job. Absolutely love your work and constantly recommend your channel, have bought tools based off your reviews. I am sure there are already a few comments to the same above/below, but in case there are not:<br><br> but I understand if it was a &apos;audience readability&apos; choice as well.<br><br>Somewhere in Milwaukee&apos;s engineering department, there is an engineer with a billet steel battery mount that allows them to click a battery into a ~40 kW speaker driver (shaker table) for the purposes of random vibration testing. Keep making the content you do, love it to death!

  I was talking to &quot;the Milwaukee guy&quot; at a very large ACE Hardware near me last week. I asked him to look it up. Wasn&apos;t available in their warehouse yet, but I couldn&apos;t see any of that after I saw the $599 pricetag. I thought, &quot;It may be time for a compressor and a &apos;Big Nasty&quot; after all.&quot;

  They&apos;re using Samsung 25U cells, which are new, tabless, and made in partnership with Milwaukee. It was announced at CES just before Pipeline.

  As an electrician I actually do use SDS-max hammer drills as hammers all the dang time—for driving ground rods. Much easier than a sledge, when you need to drive an 8&apos; long copper-coated steel rod deep into rocky soil. You can get bits for this which are basically just a steel cup that goes over the top of the rod.

  A small note on your Bluetooth acceleration meter. I would look into it&apos;s data sheet to find out what is it&apos;s sampling rate and how it averages samples. Bluetooth typically is not very fast, and some of those devices are made specifically for interpreting hand gestures and sample expecting typical human range of jerk (jerk is rate of change of acceleration, essentially jerk to acceleration is what acceleration is to speed). With 50 impacts every second and verry abrupt stops, you need over 1kHz to actually reliably catch every impacts peak.<br>I can have a look for what&apos;s available and how to make a nice little unit, but you would probably be better off asking some electronics youtuber for collab on this - that way you could get to quite a large new audience.

  I absolutely see this as a Pick-n-Pull hero for those that already have the Milwaukee battery universe of tools. &nbsp;I can never justify it but when I was spending an average of 15+ days a year, mostly in the dead of winter, pulling parts at one this would have saved so much time over a 3# engineers hammer and various chisels.<br><br>To be honest, I was completely prepared to be unimpressed but I am not. &nbsp;Now will TTI allow its &quot;lesser&quot; brands access to the technology for lower-performing tools? &nbsp;The free-air piston is not just in the giant electric breakers as you mentioned but even the better Hilti SDSMax were not using the con-rod method until you got into the 900-series breakers (may have changed now).
