  There's a good argument that a distance shot (7-15 yards as always tested & people practicing at the range) isn't "clearly" self defense. Not 7-15 feet, "Yards". That's a lot of distance. But at 1-3 ft on a sidewalk or a 3-12 ft inside a home, there's no question about self defense and that's where the snubby is best. Point and shoot. There's no worry about missing at that range and it will do the job.

  The 38 Special +P is &nbsp;basically a &nbsp;CC get back gun to use until you can reach either your <br>high capacity semi automatic pistol or AR-15

  The issue that most do not address or consider is what the typical fight is in common self defense occurrences.<br>Either in the clinch, or close proximity, strong hand only shooting is very common due to the nature of the violence. <br>The revolver will continue to fire and not go out of battery if pressed against someone.<br>It will also not malfunction due to less than perfect grip or one hand only shooting.

  In handguns i have only revolvers .22LR (9shot) .32 S&amp;W long (6 shot) and .38spl (5 shot),would love to have a high capacity 9mm, perhaps one day! &nbsp;But i do have a high regard for the ability of the revolver to stand up to neglect , handy at arms lenght confrontations and the greatest wheelgun advantage of all simplicity of arms &nbsp;in a high stress situation.For law enforcement and the military the semi auto makes more sense mainly due to capacity, but for Jo average i still lean towars the wheelgun !
